Genesys Cloud's schedule editor provides comprehensive workforce management capabilities for optimizing employee scheduling and staffing operations across multiple geographic locations and organizational structures. The platform delivers extensive scheduling functionality through a Select Action menu that enables shift assignment, shift replacement with activities, shift swapping between agents, and bulk copying of activities or shifts, each with dedicated keyboard shortcuts for efficient workflow management. Users can access multiple viewing perspectives—day, date range, week, and vertical views—to analyze schedules by management unit or work team, with forecast-based schedules displaying critical metrics including scheduled versus required staffing levels, performance tracking data, activity counts, and daily summaries. The system incorporates intelligent activity placement recommendations based on coverage requirements to optimize staffing allocation. Key operational features include agent adherence monitoring, weekly paid hours tracking, activity management with adjustable timeframes, blank schedule creation, schedule entry editing for campaigns, time-off plan management, and operating schedule configuration. Users can adjust non-default activity lengths within shifts, modify activity details and default values, and customize detail levels through zoom controls. The editor supports sequential undo and redo operations for unsaved changes and provides access to comprehensive agent information, including assigned skills and languages. Administrator users benefit from time zone flexibility, enabling schedule viewing in different time zones while maintaining reference to the business unit's default time zone through a selector in the upper right corner—particularly valuable for administrators operating across multiple geographic locations. The system supports adding or removing agents from schedules as operational requirements change. Genesys Cloud also provides a feedback mechanism for documentation improvement, allowing users to rate article helpfulness and submit detailed feedback through a structured form that captures user role information and categorizes responses into negative feedback addressing inaccuracy, incompleteness, outdated content, or clarity issues, and positive feedback recognizing helpful, well-organized, and valuable content. Related documentation covers workforce management functionality including schedule creation, modification, triggers, operating schedules, campaign scheduling, time-off planning, and schedule deletion.
