Genesys Cloud provides functionality to create agentic virtual agents through the AI Studio interface. The creation process requires Virtual Agent enablement and appropriate AI Studio permissions. Users access the feature via Menu > Orchestration > AI Studio > Agentic Virtual Agents and click Create agent to open the configuration panel. Users can randomly select an avatar by clicking Refresh until satisfied with the profile picture selection. The agentic virtual agent profile contains five primary sections: Agent, Tools, Knowledge, A2A, Configuration, and Guardrails. Users can navigate between these sections during agent creation, editing, or viewing. Incomplete sections are indicated by specific icons. Agents can be saved with incomplete sections but cannot be published until all sections are fully completed. The next step after initial agent creation involves establishing the agent's role and guidelines on the Agent tab. Once all necessary sections are completed, users can click Publish to publish the agent flow. The documentation provides naming conventions and best practices, recommending agent names that clearly reflect the agent's domain and specific task rather than generic or unclear identifiers.
