Genesys Cloud's Set Skill Expression Filters action enables intelligent agent selection in in-queue call and message flows by applying skill expression filters that route interactions based on defined ACD skills and proficiencies. This action overrides any previously assigned skill expression filters from Transfer to ACD or prior Set Skill Expression Filters configurations, allowing for dynamic agent routing optimization. Configuration requires two primary fields: a Name field for labeling the transfer action and a Skill Expression Filters field that accepts variables storing results from the Evaluate Skill Expression Filters action. The filter mechanism selects a subset of agents possessing specified combinations of ACD skills and proficiencies, and applies only when the target queue supports skill expression evaluation. The filter string parameter can be empty or set to NOT_SET as needed. The action provides structured error handling through Failure outputs that map errorType (a non-empty string containing the error category) and errorMessage (a non-localized failure message). The Failure output path is triggered if the collection variable exceeds maximum allowed items or contains invalid skill expression filters. Success and failure paths within the system indicate whether the skill expression filter assignment completed successfully or encountered obstacles. This functionality integrates with Architect's Expression Help feature and supports comprehensive interaction routing across multiple channels including calls, chats, emails, and both voice and digital bots. The action operates within a broader ecosystem of related Architect capabilities, including transfer to ACD actions, call flow actions, task and state editor actions, and advanced routing configurations. Users requiring additional guidance can access community support channels and documentation covering Architect setup, queue configuration, workflow management, and related routing topics.
