Genesys Cloud sends email notifications when users receive or send faxes, enabling access to fax content directly from email. Users can view faxes by opening the email notification and clicking the VIEW MESSAGE button to access the attached PDF file. For fax files exceeding 5MB, Genesys Cloud does not attach the file to the email but allows viewing directly within the Genesys Cloud platform. Access to this functionality requires two specific permissions: Conversation > One Number Fax > Receive permission and Conversation > Fax > Send permission. Organizations that restrict personally identifiable information (PII) in fax and voicemail email notifications may disable the VIEW MESSAGE option as a security measure.
