The Default Settings tab lists the Minimum Staff field, which you can use to indicate the minimum staff. The number you define in this field is applicable to all planning groups.

Select the Apply only to time periods when forecast requires staff checkbox to indicate the minimum staff requirement for a specific time period across planning groups. You can choose not to select this checkbox, if you do not want to define the staff requirement for a particular period and it applies for all times.

The next schedule that you generate will accordingly include this minimum staff requirement.

The Custom Overrides tab allows you to specify the minimum staffing requirement for a specific planning group. To create a custom override rule, perform the following steps:

1. In the Custom Override tab, click the Open side panel [ hidden]Icon included[/hidden] icon.
   • In the Planning Groups list, select the planning groups.
   • In the Days of Week list, select the days.
   • In the Minimum Staff field, enter the number to indicate the minimum staff.
   • Click Add.
2. The left panel populates based on the settings that you enter in the side panel. Select the required planning groups.
3. Click Ok.

When you generate the forecast, the settings in the Custom Override tab takes effect, and the forecast is updated accordingly. For more information about generating forecasts, see Add a forecast.
