Genesys Cloud enables the integration of grammars from third-party ASR engines, such as Nuance, directly into Architect bot flow slots to enhance natural language understanding capabilities. After installing a third-party ASR engine and creating grammars, users can add slots to a bot flow by accessing the Natural Language Understanding menu, assigning a meaningful slot name, selecting an associated slot type (Existing, New List, New RegEx, or New Dynamic), specifying the third-party ASR engine under the Engine field, and selecting the appropriate grammar from previously stored options. This functionality allows organizations to leverage existing grammars to improve bot intent and entity recognition accuracy within the Architect platform. Implementation requires a Genesys Cloud CX 2, CX 3, or CX 4 license and appropriate Architect permissions (Grammar – Add, Delete, Edit, View). The feature streamlines bot development by providing a seamless integration pathway for third-party ASR capabilities without requiring custom development.
