Genesys Cloud provides administrators with the ability to control geolocation detection across the organization through the Account Organization Settings interface. The feature allows users who opt-in to share their current geolocation information, which is automatically displayed when geolocation detection is enabled. Administrators with Geolocation > Settings > Edit permissions can toggle geolocation detection on or off by navigating to Menu > Account > Organization Settings, selecting the Settings tab, and adjusting the Geolocation Detection toggle switch. When enabled (ON), geolocation detection functions across the organization; when disabled (OFF), Genesys Cloud prevents the display of geolocation information for all users regardless of individual sharing preferences. Changes are applied organization-wide upon clicking Save.
