Genesys plans to end native Enhanced Text-to-Speech (TTS) support for the following products:
After the applicable end-of-support date, each affected voice provider will be supported as a third-party integration through BYOT-A. Amazon Web Services (AWS) Neural Polly Voices will remain the only natively supported Enhanced TTS provider.
As part of the ongoing commitment to delivering dependable, high-quality voice experiences, Genesys is optimizing its TTS capabilities within AWS for improved performance, reliability, and long-term scalability.
This change impacts customers who currently use or have the following services listed in their contract:
There is no impact to customers using AWS Neural Polly Voices for Enhanced TTS services or a third-party provider to support TTS capabilities through BYOT-A.
To maintain uninterrupted TTS functionality, customers using impacted products must complete one of the following actions before the applicable end-of-support date:
Customers using Google Standard TTS Voices must complete one of the actions above before August 10, 2026.
Customers using Google WaveNet and Neural Voices or Microsoft Azure Neural Voices must complete one of the actions above before March 2027.
After the applicable end-of-support date, native support for the affected product will no longer be available. If no action is taken, text-to-speech functionality may stop working, depending on your configuration. This could result in no audio playback or a fallback to lower-quality default TTS voices, where available.
The following Microsoft Azure Neural voices will remain available and Genesys will provide further notice as these voices reach end-of-support in the future:
