Genesys Cloud enhances security for the Genesys Digital Bot Connector integration through Mutual Transport Layer Security (MTLS) support, enabling bidirectional certificate exchange between Genesys Cloud and third-party bot providers. The platform implements a regional certificate infrastructure where each geographic region operates its own private certificate authority that directly signs client certificates without intermediate certificates. Client certificates automatically rotate every seven days, and each certificate includes a certification revocation list (CRL) to maintain security compliance. The integration maintains dedicated regional domain names and bot connector endpoints across multiple geographic locations organized into four primary regions: Americas (Canada, São Paulo, US East, US East 2, US West), Asia Pacific (Mumbai, Osaka, Seoul, Sydney, Tokyo), EMEA (Dublin, Frankfurt, London, Zurich), and Middle East (UAE). Each region uses specific bot-connector subdomains with regional identifiers within the mypurecloud.com domain structure, such as prod-cac1 for Canada and prod-euw1 for Dublin. Organizations must establish a trust relationship with their regional root CA and select the appropriate regional endpoint based on their deployment location to ensure secure connectivity and prevent service interruptions during certificate renewal and rotation cycles. Each region has a corresponding certificate file (.zip) that must be trusted for proper connectivity and integration operation. This regional certificate validation approach enables security compliance across multiple geographic deployments while maintaining secure communications with Genesys Cloud bot connector services.
