Genesys Cloud enables users to modify recording retention by adjusting archive or delete dates through the interaction detail page. Users with appropriate permissions (Recording > Recording > Edit Retention and Recording > Snippet Recording > Edit Retention) can access the Recording Information section and click Edit to manage retention settings. The interface allows users to activate archive or deletion by selecting a date with the + button, modify existing dates by clicking on them directly, or remove dates entirely using the X button. When applying changes, users can opt to apply modified dates to all recordings within a multi-recording interaction. If the current date is selected, Genesys Cloud processes the archive or deletion several minutes after saving. Important considerations include that recording deletion is irreversible, the page does not automatically refresh when actions complete, and manual refresh is required to view updated status. The feature supports granular control over individual or batch recording lifecycle management within Genesys Cloud's retention framework.
