Listings on AppFoundry

AI-generated summary

Genesys Cloud AppFoundry is a curated marketplace that enables partners to list diverse application types including Genesys-developed add-ons, ISV client applications, Genesys Cloud Embeddable Framework (GCEF) offerings, Expert Applications from Professional Services, and Accelerators (preconfigured assets, data actions, IVR flows, and bots). Partners initiate the listing process by submitting an application request through the Genesys Partner Portal, which undergoes a 1–2 week approval process. Before submission, partners must develop baseline integrations using one of three supported types: ISV client applications with provided examples, GCEF with localhost or private options, or default Client Applications within Genesys Cloud. During development, Genesys does not provide unique products, permissions, or licenses; only approved partners receive these resources. Partners must schedule a development review meeting with the AppFoundry team to demonstrate full integration functionality, discuss commercialization models (usage-based or meter-based), review Genesys Parts Catalog options, demonstrate automated installation for ISV applications, and enforce Genesys Cloud licensing for ISV usage-type applications. Listing submissions require comprehensive details including app name, tag line ( maximum), short description (), full description ( in Markdown format), contact email, app logo (minimum 144×144px in PNG or SVG format), up to four screenshots (4:3 ratio, minimum 1024×768px in PNG format), video URL (Vimeo or YouTube only), help documentation link, and marketing brochure (PDF). Partners must specify supported languages from 24 options, applicable industries, app type classification, relevant compliance attestations (HIPAA, GDPR, PCI, SOC 2, HITRUST, ISO 27001, FedRAMP), and use cases with business benefits. A single listing category must be selected from nine options: Workforce Management, Security and Compliance, Channels and Routing, Operations, Business Intelligence, CRM and Case Management, Voice of Customer, Voice Enhancements, Bots and Automation, and UC and Collaboration. Regional deployment requires providing purchase and firmware URLs for ten regions (US East/West, Frankfurt, Ireland, Japan, Australia, London, Seoul, Canada), with ISV pricing sourced from Genesys SFDC using a specific pricing template. Partners must demonstrate installation automation, complete license enforcement, and obtain AppFoundry team approval before submission. Upon approval, the AppFoundry team provides Genesys Cloud organizations in each sellable region and publishes listings to the marketplace website. Inquiries regarding the AppFoundry process should be directed to AppFoundry@genesys.com

Development of the integration

Before listing your application in the AppFoundry, ensure that the application is ready for use. Before submitting your approval to list the application on the marketplace, ensure that you develop your baseline integration with Genesys Cloud.

The different kinds of integrations for listing in the AppFoundry are as follows:

ISV client application: Genesys provided the ISV Client Application Example to AppFoundry partners for development.
Genesys Cloud Embeddable Framework (GCEF): AppFoundry Partners can use the example GCEF offered using localhost or the private GCEF. Review criteria

Upon developing your integration with Genesys Cloud, schedule a development review meeting with the AppFoundry team. During this meeting, the AppFoundry partner does the following:

Demonstrates full working of the integration with Genesys Cloud.
Does the following commercialization discussion:
- Guides the AppFoundry partner through our monetization models, including usage-based or meter-based, and submission requirements. Discusses potential parts within the Genesys Parts Catalog.
- Demonstrates automation of the installation during this meeting or in a follow-up meeting for the ISV client application. Submission is not allowed until the AppFoundry team approves the completed automation efforts.
- Demonstrates the enforcement of Genesys Cloud licensing of your application for the ISV client application – usage type. The importance of license enforcement is not understated.
- Schedule a separate meeting to discuss Genesys parts creation.

Upon approval, the AppFoundry team requests the AppFoundry partner to provide all required listing details. The AppFoundry partners must send an AppFoundry listing review request email to the AppFoundry team. Listing requests are reviewed for accuracy and then published to the AppFoundry marketplace website. If the AppFoundry Partner is approved and ready to submit immediately for ISV, the AppFoundry team provides a Genesys Cloud organization in each region in which the AppFoundry Partner is sellable.
