The feature requires two specific permissions: "Conversation > Recording > Pause" and "Conversation > Recording > PauseOthers." While recording is paused, agents maintain audio communication with customers, but no conversation is captured by the system. For ACD calls, agents activate Secure Pause by clicking a dedicated button and click again to resume recording. For non-ACD calls, agents access the feature through a More menu, selecting "Start Secure Pause" to stop recording and "End Secure Pause" to resume. This functionality is available exclusively through the agent interface and requires an active call recording as a prerequisite, enabling agents to safeguard sensitive or secure data without interrupting customer communication.
