Genesys Cloud provides an AWS Lambda data actions integration that enables organizations to extend platform capabilities by leveraging AWS Lambda functions within their applications. The integration supports creating custom data actions, integrating them into Architect flows and scripts, and managing request/response handling through velocity macros and contracts. Key technical components include IAM role configuration, data action testing, and support for both cloud and on-premises deployments. The integration covers comprehensive functionality such as creating and editing custom actions, adding configuration contracts, importing/exporting data actions, troubleshooting common issues (including 403 errors and flow failures), and using data actions across Genesys Cloud applications and scripts. Documentation includes setup requirements, example functions, testing procedures, and workflows for on-premises solutions.
