Genesys Cloud provides administrators with the ability to control whether Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is included in email notifications for voicemail messages. To configure this setting, users with Directory > Organization > Admin permissions must navigate to Menu > Account > Organization Settings, access the Settings tab, and locate the Security & Compliance section. Within this section, administrators can enable Voicemail Notifications and toggle the "Allow PII in email notifications" switch to either include PII in voicemail email notifications (ON) or exclude it (OFF). The configuration also allows optional enablement or disablement of Voicemail Transcription settings. After adjusting these preferences, administrators must click Save to apply the changes. This feature is not available in HIPAA-enabled organizations, reflecting compliance requirements for healthcare-regulated environments.
