Genesys Cloud provides agents with functionality to browse and select alternative shifts for trading purposes through the Shift Trades panel. Agents can navigate to the panel, click Browse Shifts, and view available alternative shifts for a specific day. After selecting a desired alternative shift, agents choose a shift to trade away and click Finalize Trade to submit the request. Workforce Management automatically reviews the trade request within minutes and notifies the agent of approval or denial via inbox notification. If denied, supervisors retain the ability to manually intervene and approve the trade. Upon approval, the agent's schedule updates automatically with the new shift assignment. Two permissions are required for participation: "Workforce Management > Agent Shift Trade Request – Participate" for agents to participate in shift trades, and "Workforce Management > Agent Alternative Shift – Submit" for agents to submit alternative shift trade requests.
