Genesys Cloud provides comprehensive user settings and preferences that enable customization of profile information, presence status, communication devices, and work preferences accessible through the user's profile picture or avatar. Users can manage their profile and presence by setting status indicators (Available, Busy, Away, Break, Meal, Meeting, Training, or Out of Office) that display as colored rings around profile pictures, adding custom status messages, and viewing organization membership across multiple organizations. Location and communication settings allow users to share geolocation when enabled by administrators, select phone devices for calls, configure call forwarding to designated numbers, and adjust WebRTC phone settings for microphone and speaker selection, with platform-specific geolocation management handled through the Windows desktop app, Mac's Apple Location Services, or web browser settings. Agent-specific features include the ability to activate and manage queue assignments through Active and Available Queues lists and monitor elapsed time spent on current status periods. Users can configure out-of-office status with specified start and end dates and times. Additional customizable preferences accessible through the Preferences menu include sound, ringtones, notifications, chat, password, voicemail PIN, and language settings, with preference options varying by application platform (browser, Windows desktop, or Mac desktop). Users can log out of Genesys Cloud through the Logout function. The platform includes a feedback mechanism for reporting issues such as inaccurate information, outdated content, or unclear presentation, allowing users to indicate their role within the system. Related functionality encompasses presence and status management, profile settings, location configuration, user activity indicators, multi-user status assignment, user activation and deactivation, information sharing permissions, transfer actions, and permission set assignment for Salesforce integration.
