Genesys Cloud Digital Connector enables integration of up to five third-party bots into conversational customer interactions. The solution requires development of a translation layer to facilitate communication between third-party bots and Genesys Cloud APIs. Key capabilities include the Call Digital Connector action in Architect message flows, which processes messages and returns intents and slots before routing back to the flow. The connector supports rich media interactions including quick replies for guided, structured customer responses; cards containing images, titles, bodies, and interactive buttons; and carousels presenting multiple cards for visual bot responses. Configuration requires MTLS support and involves administrator setup of bot conversation elements. The service operates on a bring-your-own-technology model with per-turn or per-minute rate pricing. This functionality enables seamless bot integration within Genesys Cloud's messaging workflows while maintaining API compatibility and supporting complex interaction patterns.
