Genesys Cloud provides a Number Plan Site feature that enables administrators to designate a specific site to control the number plan used by a trunk for inbound call handling and outbound transfers. The selected site determines how the trunk processes transforms on inbound calls and manages subsequent outbound transfers for calls that do not route through another site. Configuration occurs in Genesys Cloud Admin under Telephony > Trunks, where administrators select the desired trunk and click Select Site within the Inbound | Number Plan Site section. The selection dialog displays sites currently associated with the trunk by default, with an option to view all organizational sites via the Show all sites checkbox. After selecting the appropriate site from the Number Plan Site list and confirming the selection, administrators must save the trunk configuration to apply the changes. If no site has been previously selected, the system defaults to using a number plan from any site with an outbound route configured for that trunk. This feature streamlines inbound call routing and ensures consistent number plan application across call handling workflows.
