What is the “Display As” field?

The Display As field is an optional setting that defines exactly how a recognized dictionary term appears in an interaction transcript. It allows you to control formatting independently of how the term is entered for speech recognition.

Use Display As when a term must appear with specific capitalization, acronym formatting, punctuation, numbers, or organization-specific spelling.

For example:

• Term: ceo – Display As: CEO
• Term: esim – Display As: eSIM
• Term: four o one k – Display As: 401K
• Term: coca cola – Display As: Coca-Cola

When the transcription engine recognizes the dictionary term, Genesys Cloud uses the configured Display As value in the transcript. If you do not configure a Display As value, Genesys Cloud continues to use its standard transcript formatting behavior.

The Display As field supports up to 50 characters and is available for all dialects supported by Genesys Native Transcription.
