Genesys Cloud allows learning administrators to create learning modules by integrating external content through Learning APIs. External learning modules are read-only and cannot be edited within Genesys Cloud; administrators can hide them from the Catalogue view to prevent manual assignment by managers. When creating or updating external modules via API, only one URL-type content can be added to direct users to the external service from the splash page. Assessments cannot be created in Genesys Cloud for external modules; assessment data must be sourced externally. The Catalogue displays only modules available for agent assignment, excluding those requiring self-enrollment or pre-enrollment. When agents access completed external modules, they are directed to a standard module screen displaying Content and Results tabs with data from the external source. Reset and Assign Again functions are unavailable for external modules. Module assignment can be performed manually or through the Auto Assign tab. To access external learning modules, navigate to Menu > Performance Management > Employee Engagement > Development and Feedback, then select "External" from the Select Module Type(s) dropdown menu.
