Genesys Cloud provides a secure pairing process to establish trust between the Genesys Cloud platform and BYOC Premises Edge devices. When Genesys ships an Edge device, it contains no customer data. The Edge automatically acquires an IP address and initially only trusts the certificate from the Genesys Cloud Pairing Manager. The administrator initiates pairing through the Genesys Cloud web interface, which connects to the Pairing Manager. The Pairing Manager generates a unique ID and token for that Edge and returns them to the admin. The admin then enters the ID and token into the Edge's LCD panel to authenticate it. The Edge connects to the Pairing Manager and presents the ID and token, and the Pairing Manager responds with a unique certificate for that Edge. The Edge is now fully paired and trusted by Genesys Cloud.
