End Task action

AI-generated summary

Genesys Cloud's End Task action enables users to terminate tasks within inbound email flows. Multiple End Task actions can exist within a single task, particularly when using Decision actions with different conditional paths. The action requires two main configurations: a distinctive name that appears in the task sequence, and an output path that determines the task's exit behavior. Users can select default output paths, create new ones with custom names, or delete existing paths. The output path value can be referenced in Call Task actions to control process flow based on the chosen path. This functionality is particularly useful in scenarios where tasks need different termination points based on conditional logic, such as separate endings for true and else conditions in Decision actions.

In inbound email flows, use the End Task action to end a task in a process. In some situations, you might have more than one End Task action in a task. For example, if your task includes a Decision action:

Your task might terminate if the If condition is true. In that case, add an End Task action directly after the True part of the Decision action.
Your task might continue for several more steps if the Else condition true. In this case, add an End Task action at the end of the additional steps.
