Genesys Cloud enables creation of SMS campaigns with MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) by uploading images to the assets library and integrating them into SMS campaign templates. Supported image formats include JPEG, PNG, and GIF files with a maximum size of 5MB per image. Only one MMS image can be added per template, and the combined size of the MMS image and text cannot exceed 5MB. Templates containing MMS images are then added to SMS campaigns using MMS-enabled sender phone numbers. Prerequisites include specific Genesys Cloud CX licenses (CX 1 Digital Add-on II through CX 4) and required permissions for outbound messaging campaigns, contact lists, and SMS phone number management. Before creating an MMS campaign, users must configure long or short code SMS numbers with MMS enabled, with support varying by country: short codes support United States only; long codes support United States and Canada; and toll-free numbers support both United States and Canada. The implementation workflow involves three steps: uploading the MMS image to the assets library, adding the image to an SMS campaign template, and selecting an MMS-enabled provisioned sender phone number when creating the SMS campaign. Images can be uploaded directly to the assets library during template creation if not previously added.
