Genesys Cloud provides a Filter by Divisions feature that enables users to narrow search results for external contacts and organizations based on division access permissions. Users can access this functionality through Menu > Contacts > External Contacts and Organizations, where a Filter by Division drop-down menu displays available divisions. The feature supports multi-select capability, allowing users to filter contacts across multiple divisions simultaneously, with the interface displaying the count of selected divisions. When the filter is applied, Genesys Cloud displays only contacts associated with divisions to which the user has access permissions; for example, a user with Indianapolis division access can view only Indianapolis-associated contacts while remaining unable to access contacts from France or California divisions. Users can add or remove divisions from the filter list dynamically, and a Remove button enables clearing all selected divisions at once. Access to this feature requires specific permissions including External Contacts > Contact > View, External Contacts > External Organization > View, and Settings > Edit. Only divisions accessible to the user appear in the filter list; unavailable divisions require administrator intervention for access modification.
