The system enforces a maximum active dashboard ownership limit per user; if reassignment would cause the new owner to exceed this threshold, the operation fails and no dashboards are reassigned. Inactive or deleted users do not receive email notifications upon ownership transfer. Two methods facilitate ownership changes: administrators can access the Dashboard Owners page through Menu > Analytics > Analytics Workspace, select one or more dashboard owners, and use the "Change owner" function; alternatively, they can navigate to individual dashboard owner detail pages to reassign specific dashboards. Both methods require selecting a single new owner from a searchable dropdown list and confirming the change. Upon successful completion, a confirmation notification displays and the original owner receives an email notification. The new owner also receives an email notification upon assignment.
