Genesys Cloud allows administrators to add custom fields to user profiles through the Profile Fields configuration page. Users can create two field types: Text fields for character-based entries (such as Name and Biography) with configurable maximum character limits, and Tag fields for searchable entries (such as Skills and Certifications) with configurable maximum tag length and tag count limits. The configuration process requires accessing Menu > User Management > Profile Fields, selecting the desired section, clicking Add Field, specifying the field type and its parameters, and adding user-facing labels in applicable languages including Field Name and Instruction Text. Once saved, field type and configuration settings cannot be modified. Custom profile fields cannot be deleted but can be disabled to restrict user access; administrators with appropriate permissions can re-enable disabled fields at any time.
