Genesys Cloud is an AI-powered experience orchestration platform that enables contact centers to deliver personalized customer experiences through a structured onboarding and deployment framework. The platform requires organizations to complete several foundational activities during activation, including selecting a permanent AWS region and organization shortname, implementing multi-factor authentication through time-based generators or passkey methods, and conducting system readiness and network assessments. Successful implementation depends on establishing clear organizational roles and responsibilities across administrators, business users, agents, managers, supervisors, and developers, with role assignment automatically triggering corresponding license allocation. Key stakeholder roles include Architect, Contact Center Manager, Project Manager, Genesys Cloud Administrator, and Genesys Cloud Developer, each with distinct permissions and responsibilities for managing the platform. The Genesys Orchestrators hub serves as a centralized resource for training, collaboration, and personalized learning recommendations, connecting users with the Customer Success team and supporting community engagement. Organizations must complete authenticator application setup before activation and review customer areas of responsibility and implementation expectations to establish operational readiness. User provisioning and role-based access control are managed through the Genesys Cloud Deployment configuration, where administrators assign appropriate permissions aligned with organizational structure. This comprehensive onboarding pathway guides organizations from initial activation through go-live, establishing the foundational governance, security, and operational practices necessary for successful cloud contact center operations.
