With this release, Genesys Cloud will introduce a single, multi-tenant API that replaces both the Partner Billing Usage API and the Premium Apps API. The new API will support:
- Raw usage data – Access detailed usage quantities across organizations.
- Rated usage tied to subscription – Retrieve subscription-level usage, overages, pricing, contract terms, billing periods, and ramp schedules.
- Invoice data – Access invoice details aligned with contract and billing systems.
The new API will serve multiple stakeholder types through context-aware behavior:
- Reseller access – Retrieve contract, product, charge, and invoice data for indirect customer organizations across regions from a single partner organization.
- Direct customer access – Retrieve enterprise-wide usage, pricing, wallet information for EDPs, and invoice data to support internal chargeback models.
- Indirect access – View contract, plan, and usage quantity data through the Orchestrators portal without exposing price or invoice details.
- AppFoundry vendor access – Retrieve subscription, usage, and billing data for vendor products using the same API framework.
The API will integrate data from Genesys Cloud usage, billing systems, contract systems, and invoicing systems into a single access point. Stakeholders can use this data to automate billing, reconcile usage, build reporting tools, and create user interfaces in the Orchestrators portal.
This change improves transparency and reduces integration complexity. Instead of maintaining multiple APIs with different data models, stakeholders can use one consistent API to access contract and billing information. The new design also supports future commercial models by allowing additional attributes to be added over time.
Genesys Cloud will align the availability of this API with Lead to Cash timelines. All current billing APIs in the /api/v2/billing space will be deprecated as this new API becomes the supported replacement.
